Speaker Bio
Robyne Highsmith is founder and presenter of the Teen Dare to Dream Program .This motivational seminar and scholarship program for students has been presented to over five hundred schools across America. Robyne encourages young people to find and develop their gifts, then give them back to the world. The past twelve years on tour has made her one of the most sought after speakers for the youth market. Her southern style is humorous, yet leaves a meaningful lasting impression on students.
Throughout her career, Robyne has been an integrator of ideas across disciplines. A successful career developed soon after high school in cosmetics as a makeup artist with Estee Lauder Corporation for Mercantile Department stores. She worked as a freelance artist for photography / high fashion shoots and pageants, including the national televised Americas Junior Miss. Fashion design is her true passion ; in 1989 she followed her dream and launched Pink Lizard swimwear.
Over the years, Robyne produced hundreds of fashion shows and managed promotions for various clients including Simon malls, MTV, various hair and beauty products, and co-founded Miss Planet Beach International Pageant. Radio and television experience include hosting regional shows YMCA Today and Gulf Coast Dining. As a daily radio talk show host, Robyne created Kids in Action Radio Program, the first non-profit broadcasting program for youth in Florida.
Volunteer and professional associations include Future Business Leaders Associations Professional Division, and member of Mothers against Drunk Driving (MADD). She has served on the board of directors for the Arts Council of Northwest Florida, Choral Society, and worked with numerous non profits serving as chair and co- chair for fund raising efforts. Robyne has been featured in many media articles over the years.
When not touring, she enjoys volunteer work with various art and youth groups, painting, writing and spending time with her family. She resides in Indianapolis Indiana.
